When Autumn Leaves Remind You of Beauty

Soft watercolor of golden autumn leaves falling on a forest path with a gentle angelic glow

Hello dear friends,

This time of year, I find myself slowing down on walks just to look at the leaves. Gold, amber, a deep rusty red. One floats down in front of me and lands right at my feet, and I can’t help smiling. It feels like a little gift.

When I notice beauty like that, I often think of Archangel Jophiel. Many people know Jophiel as the angel of beauty, the one who helps us see the loveliness that’s already around us. I like to think of Jophiel as a gentle friend who taps you on the shoulder and says, “Look. Right there.”

What the falling leaves remind me of

Letting go can be soft. Trees don’t fight autumn. They release their leaves a little at a time, and they trust that spring will come back around. If you’re holding on to something that feels heavy, the leaves may be a sweet reminder that you can set it down slowly, at your own pace.

Beauty is in the ordinary. You don’t need a mountain view. A single leaf on the sidewalk, a puddle reflecting the sky, sunlight on a fence. Jophiel helps us notice these small moments, and noticing them can lift the whole day.

Change can be colorful. Endings aren’t always gray. Sometimes they are the brightest part of the season.

A simple autumn leaf practice

Next time you’re outside, or even looking out a window, try this:

  1. Find one leaf that catches your eye. Let it choose you.
  2. Take three slow breaths while you look at its color and shape.
  3. Quietly say, “Archangel Jophiel, help me see the beauty in today.”
  4. Think of one thing you’re ready to release, and imagine it drifting down like that leaf.
  5. Say thank you, to the tree, to the angels, and to yourself.

If you like, bring the leaf home and set it on your windowsill or beside a favorite crystal for a few days. I like placing mine near a piece of clear quartz. It’s a sweet little reminder to keep looking for loveliness.

A closing note from me

Dear ones, I hope this season wraps you in warm colors and gentle moments. Beauty isn’t something we have to go far to find. It’s falling all around us, one leaf at a time, and the angels are so happy when we stop to see it.
